I find intersections of my work and play all the time. Below are a few things that I’m proud of; I offer these as a way to connect and spark conversation, so don’t be a stranger.

I lead group fitness classes and obsess over playlists.

I have been leading Lagree classes on the Megaformer since 2018, and enjoy staying active through group fitness and team sports. Outside of the gym, I play soccer in a few recreational leagues. I find that the right music can help me through anything, and I loved creating workout playlists to help set the tone. I want people to feel empowered and gain self-awareness through movement.

I dabble with instructional and visual design.

As part of my Masters coursework I took graduate-level classes in San Francisco State University's Instructional Technologies M.Ed. program. Coursework included the basics of visual design, mastery of Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign, and an overview of web design. I always enjoyed creating infographics, and continue to practice my visual design skills. Most recently, I designed my wedding invitation suite.

I explore with my rescue dog, Gericault.

During my first year of teaching, Gericault fell into my lap. I rescued him from the side of the road, and we have been each other’s constant companions ever since. Although it can be a chore, I am so grateful to be able to walk around with Gericault. In my free time, I volunteer at local animal shelters.
